How effective are Detox Diet Plan?
It is human nature to follow fads, and many obese adults these days seem to be following the fad called detox diet plan. Does it really work for them though? I cannot say for sure. All I can say is that people who use it do lose weight for a temporary period, but usually gain back all the ‘lost’ weight after sometime. Thus it doesn’t look any different from the other fad diets.
What is the reason behind it? One reason can be that your body is so full of toxins that any weight control measure that you undertake seems to fall flat! You could have accumulated these toxins from any source, such as food, talcum powder, air, etc. While your body might have developed a healthy detoxification system to combat the general toxins, it looks like it cannot cope up with the synthetic chemicals that get inside through various means.
Beside adults bodies been contaminated with toxins, studies had also shown that newborn babies have also these toxins in their bodies. These toxins were passed on to them by their mothers. Because of this, scientists are saying that detox diet plans are unfeasible as they do not work as what they were intended too due to severity of the situation.
These toxins damage your system to such an extent that you begin to eat more and more, while burning less and less food at the same time. Eventually, the unburned foods get deposits in your body as fat, the reason why you become overweight! Foods such as cheese (esp. the processed ones), cream, butter etc are usually contaminated and should be avoided as much as possible.
The best advice regarding detox diet plan which I can offer, is that, avoid foods that has been processed. Rather consume foods that are grown organically and not processed artificially. Examples of which are raw fruits and vegetables ideal foods for those seeking quick weight loss. Also drink plenty of water as this will helps your body to increase its metabolism rate. Avoid drinks like beer, soda, alcohol & soft drinks. White flour & sugar should also be avoided as all these are high in what we term as “empty calories”. They have no beneficial effects but just good in making you fat.
Foods containing complex carbs such as potatoes are also good for your health!
For fatty foods, look for foods which contain unsaturated fats like Tuna, or Salmon. Foods like butter & Cream contains saturated fats which are bad for us and also makes us fat. With these explanations, I hope they will help you to plan your detox diet plan properly and lose weight quickly as well.
